Vos responsabilités en quelques mots!
Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements – Prepare monthly covenant calculations and compliance analysis – Coordination and ownership of financial audits, including audit relationship – Oversight of corporate tax returns (Canada & US) and coordination of sales taxes compliance – Validate financial reporting required by government authorities – Participate in the yearly insurance renewal process – Analyze financial information and issue recommendations to help decision making – Coordinate and participate in the preparation of corporate reports – Participate in developing and maintaining KPI’s – Ensure inventory costing is accurate and variances well explained – Lead and collaborate with internal control implementation and improve processes – Maximize the use of technology throughout the department – Manage, support and develop a team of 7 accountants – Foster a positive, harmonious and professional work environment – Ensure compliance with company standards and policies and procedures – Assist in and at times take the lead in ad hoc projects and analysis for management purposes and business improvement
Vos atouts pour le poste !
• Detain a CPA title (Canadian or US)
• Experience with US GAAP and consumer goods industry (valuable assets)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite programs, the Windows environment and ERP systems
• Gifted with system conversion or automation of accounting processes
• Thrives in a fast-paced culture
• Able to work independently an proactively
• Autonomous, collaborative team player, exceptional customer relationship skills
• Developmental, influential, and positive leadership
• Bilingualism: exceptional communication and writing skills in English (a functional French is considered an asset)

Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance based in Montreal, a supportive, encouraging, and caring leader, you will be responsible for managing and supervising your accounting team. On a day-to-day basis, you will lead some projects simultaneously while keeping an eye on your department’s operations.
