Your responsibilities in a few words!

Audit fixed asset registers to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies – Maintain fixed asset register, accurately recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers and depreciation – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the correct recording of fixed asset transactions and the evaluation of capital expenditure proposals transfers and depreciation – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the correct recording of fixed asset transactions as well as the evaluation of capital expenditure proposals – Participate in the preparation of fixed asset financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders – Perform in-depth analysis of fixed asset data to identify trends, cost reduction opportunities and areas for process improvement – Monitor the fixed asset life cycle, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring that assets are properly tracked – Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes – Advise on capitalization policies – Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and corporate guidelines – Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and fixed asset regulations – Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements – Maintain strong internal controls for fixed asset management, mitigating financial risks – Provide expertise on fixed asset-related projects – Carry out detailed analysis of fixed asset data to identify patterns and trends, and provide information to inform strategic decision making – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to, ensuring that they are in line with financial objectives and subject to appropriate accounting treatment – Develop comprehensive process documentation, processes, procedures and policies to ensure consistent practices and facilitate audits – Lead the implementation and improvement of fixed asset management systems or ERP modules – Assess the economic life of assets and recommend appropriate depreciation methods – Play a key role in preparing and supporting external audits, by providing the necessary documentation and explanations for fixed asset issues – Lead process improvement initiatives related to fixed asset management – Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely reporting of fixed assets for tax purposes and to maximize tax benefits – Participate in due diligence efforts in connection with mergers, Contribute to the development of training programs on fixed asset policies and procedures – Keep abreast of technological advances and industry best practices in fixed asset management

Your assets for this position!

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • Hold a CPA designation
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a growing environment
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, relevant regulations and standards, particularly with regard to fixed assets, depreciation and amortization
  • Experience working for a large company or a medium-sized growth company (assets)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Office Suite (Excel)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with ERP system implementation (asset)
  • Bilingualism: required
