Your responsibilities in a few words!
Prepare reconciliations of corporate general ledger accounts – Comply with corporate accounting policies and procedures – Prepare and review internal financial reports and presentations with internal stakeholders – Follow key internal controls over financial reporting – Identify potential process improvements to create efficiencies – Assist with accounting review of large, complex and/or non-routine transactions, Assist in the accounting review of significant, complex and/or non-routine transactions – Communicate related financial impacts to the management team – Collaborate on special projects that will have accounting implications – Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing processes – Prepare quarterly and annual reports required by the Canadian Securities Commissions and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Company’s consolidated operations.Compile month-end checklists – Assist other team members during the quarterly and annual closing process – Lead the internal controls of the above-mentioned processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements – Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits – Prepare quarterly and annual reports required by the Group

An ideal opportunity for a motivated, communicative and adaptable team player. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, a competent, patient, attentive and pleasant manager. Your main task will be to prepare financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in Canada and the United States. Among other things, you will have the pleasure of interacting with the departments around you to ensure the accurate preparation of financial information reports.
