Your responsibilities in a few words!

Advise partners within entities on various Canadian and international tax issues – Collaborate with global finance teams to produce tax compliance for foreign subsidiaries, including T1134 and surplus calculations – Provide support to the tax compliance and tax accounting process – Conduct complex tax research requiring in-depth knowledge of the field – Produce tax opinions and deliver recommendations – Support objectives by providing sound advice on tax planning and structuring – Act as a specialist on special mandates Act as a specialist in special mandates, business acquisitions and corporate reorganizations – Represent the company during audits by tax authorities and external audits – Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations – Proactively advise partners within the entities of all relevant changes in tax regulations and legislation – Actively participate in the process of continuous improvement of processes in order to add value and improve efficiency – Provide coaching and act as a leader for members of his team

Your assets for this position!

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting
  • Hold a valid CPA designation or a CICA advanced course (In-depth tax course) or a Master's degree in taxation
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Canadian and international taxation
  • Experience in the insurance industry or in banking taxation
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Knowledge of CCH IntelliConnect or Taxnet Pro software
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team spirit
  • Bilingualism: express yourself clearly in French and English (written and spoken)
