Your responsibilities in a few words!

Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting – Propose improvements to financial control framework on accounting and financial reporting – Monitor the evolution of risks, the normative changes and bank projects – Represent the Finance Controls team in front of Senior Management – Engage in equal footing with the first control teams to independently identify, measure, control and report aggregate risks – When applicable, lead staff assigned to the level 2 control reviews towards the set objectives – Guide and train the Financial Control staff – Assume a leadership role within the team and take an active participation to the longer-term goals of the Finance Control team – Stay abreast of industry trends to determine their impacts on the firm regulatory reporting framework – Identify risks, be able to test controls, come to a conclusion and write up reports – Participate in other improvement projects (digitalization, automation, processes, etc.)

Your assets for this position!

• BAC in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting in the financial industry, in audit, financial controllership, consolidation and supervision • To detain a CPA title and French GAAP knowledge (assets) • Good Knowledge on Financial market and investment products • High knowledge of accounting schemes and treatment of financial products • Good knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles for Banks • Experience with financial instruments • Bilingualism: advanced written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills (French is considered as an asset for this role)
