Your responsibilities in a few words!

Analyze information from the employee timesheet – Perform complete payroll processing for all salaried and unionized employees – Perform operations related to the opening and closing of employee files – Perform payroll bank transfers – Post payroll-related accounting entries – Analyze balance sheet accounts related to payroll processing – Process income replacement benefits following a work-related accident – Collect information required for the bonus process – Perform monthly follow-up of group insurance invoices Process income replacement benefits following a work accident – Manage the payment of government remittances – Collect the information required for the bonus process – Perform a monthly follow-up of group insurance invoices – Ensure the entry of absence forms – Prepare the various monthly reports required by different internal and external entities – Prepare the summaries Prepare the various monthly reports required by various internal and external entities – Prepare summaries, T4s and Relevés 1 – Participate in the year-end process – Complete the employment equity report

Your assets for this position!

  • DEC in accounting (asset)
  • Minimum experience in payroll
  • Have acquired the CPA designation (asset)
  • Master the Office Suite (Excel)
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing, transportation or marine industry (assets)
  • Interest in working with computer tools and openness to learning
  • Be collaborative, transparent and follow deadlines
  • Be disciplined, self-reliant, methodical and respectful by nature
  • Bilingualism: express yourself and write clearly in French and have a functional level of English
