Your responsibilities in a few words!

Manage day-to-day production tasks during the closing period and carry out related controls – Manage large-scale projects for the team – Coach team members to help them carry out investigations and deal with reporting issues – Review reports, ensuring that the information provided meets production requirements – Promote transparent communication with the CFO in order to keep him/her up to date on the main topics and issues related to the entities. Promote transparent communication with the CFO to keep him up to date on key entity topics and issues – Assist the Accounting Production Team Leader with large-scale entity accounting projects or any other requests from senior management – Lead the preparation of the quarterly close – Participate in updates and releases of the respective reporting tools, Help identify improvements to operational processes in terms of production, control procedures and workflow organization – Participate in the integration and streamlining of reports for which the team is responsible – Assist with the integration of various accounting schema changes into the systems – Support operations in the assessment of complex transactions and their management in the systems

Your assets for this position!

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a field relevant to the role
  • Hold a CPA designation
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in financial accounting or management in the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial tools
  • Familiarity with financial services, banking and US GAAP (assets)
  • Ability to achieve results in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to build and leverage networks and maintain key relationships
  • Ability to analyze and learn new systems quickly
  • Understanding of tax accounting rules and regulations (an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables
  • Bilingualism: English required, French optional
