When the day comes, the stress falls and you can finally enjoy this moment surrounded by your colleagues, in a relaxed and festive mode!<\/p><cite>Obviously, in this context, the sudden urge to &#8220;let go of your crazy&#8221; may catch you off guard.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-purple-color has-text-color\">Here are a few tips that will help you keep your head high in all circumstances, while enjoying this important moment with your family:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Accept the invitation<\/strong>: Your company has probably invested a lot of time and money to make this opportunity possible. It&#8217;s respectable to show up, at least for part of the evening or for your leadership speech.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Consider your escort: <\/strong> Follow the invitation instructions and if the opportunity to be accompanied allows, consider choosing a person who will be suitable for your environment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Dress appropriately<\/strong>: Tailor your attire to the guidelines issued by your employer and feel free to dress up for the occasion. However, plan on dressing for a family night out, rather than a nightclub.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Have a snack<\/strong>: On the one hand, it&#8217;s wise not to drink on an empty stomach to stay in control. And on the other hand, if you&#8217;re not too hungry, it will allow you to focus on the people you&#8217;re spending this special time with, instead of focusing all your attention on the buffet.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Drink in moderation<\/strong>: Keep in mind that this is a professional party. Alcohol reduces inhibition, so drinking in moderation helps to avoid potential indecency.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Have positive discussions<\/strong>: There are a few world-renowned topics to avoid when having fun with people you work with: religion, politics, money, etc. In addition, in this type of event, it is often more enjoyable to take your mind off of work-related topics.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Put your phone away<\/strong>: Limit your phone use and live in the moment. If necessary, isolate yourself to answer your important calls and messages. Definitely avoid filming or taking compromising photos.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Be respectful<\/strong>: Obviously, avoid any discomfort that might come from wandering hands, inappropriate comments or giving too much embarrassing information about yourself or others.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Respect cultural diversity<\/strong>: Keep in mind that differences flourish within organizations. A &#8220;Merry Christmas&#8221; is not for everyone and consider wishing everyone a &#8220;Happy Holidays&#8221; if you have any doubts.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Thank the organizers<\/strong>: They have probably invested a lot of time in the organization, they will appreciate your gesture and will be encouraged to create an event just as nice next year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Be careful<\/strong>: Ask about policies regarding your company&#8217;s return options. Otherwise, choose a safe option (Nez Rouge, Uber, Taxi, carpooling, etc.). Everyone knows that drinking a little too much and driving is not an option.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Have fun: <\/strong> It&#8217;s an annual opportunity to bond with colleagues as well as to chat in a joyful atmosphere, so make the most of it!
