Your responsibilities in a few words!
Handle the entire payroll process for various business units – Enter and validate data related to employee changes – Apply construction collective bargaining agreements and applicable laws – Prepare and verify employment records and government filings – Perform month-end reconciliations and deductions (insurance, RRSPs, vacation pay) – Manage work-related injury claims related to payroll – Answer payroll-related questions from employees and managers – Collaborate on optimizing and documenting internal processes – Create and maintain up-to-date employee records – Work collaboratively with HR teams on various projects
Your assets for this position!
DEC in accounting, administration or relevant training
3 to 5 years’ experience in complete payroll
Mastery of the complete payroll cycle
Knowledge of CCQ payroll and union deductions
Knowledge of the construction collective agreement (an asset)
Experience with Maestro and Prextra software (an asset)
Good command of the Office suite
Fluency in French and functional level of English
Experience in a multi-unit or multi-site environment
Knowledge of government remittances and reconciliations
