Your responsibilities in a few words!

Prepare monthly analyses to support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports – Post journal entries – Collaborate in the budget process and in the preparation of audit files – Perform certain complex accounting entries (reinsurance, multiple accounting repositories) and ensure accuracy of results – Perform various monthly, quarterly and annual analyses, in order to understand results and balance sheet items, and be able to explain variances – Be responsible for certain activities and controls as part of the annual budget process – Actively participate in the reinsurance process – Actively participate in the analysis and development of recommendations for improvement of processes under his/her responsibility, and in the updating of work procedure documentation.

Your assets for this position!

  • Hold a CPA designation or be in the process of obtaining one
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial report analysis, financial disclosure, IFRS
  • Experience in the P&C insurance industry (asset)
  • Knowledge of ORACLE system (asset)
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of payroll cycle (asset)
  • Bilingualism: required
