Your responsibilities in a few words!

Oversee the production of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including the preparation of management reports – Oversee and ensure a timely and accurate monthly closing process, including account analysis, general ledger reconciliation and production of internal financial statements – Manage the coordination and oversight of internal (if required) and external financial audits – Oversee and direct the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions – Develop and implement policies, Lead the financial planning and analysis process, working with all departments to lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report variances – Manage cash flow and cash forecasting – Develop a reliable cash projection process and reporting mechanism – Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operational systems, budgets and other financial control functions to management ; Oversee government-related administration, including communications and filings with CRA and Revenu Québec – Assist in the application of government grants and tax credits to secure additional project funding -Supervise the duties of administrative staff – Oversee the outsourced IT service provider and ensure that IT policies are adhered to – Ensure compliance with financial legislation and regulations – Develop policies, Internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for financial and tax reporting – Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the business – Support the CFO by preparing ad hoc financial analyses to help guide business decisions.

Your assets for this position!

CPA Title

Minimum 10 years' experience with responsibilities in a similar sector

Excellent knowledge of accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) (experience in IFRS and US GAAP is an asset)

Experience in financial reporting, general ledger functions and closing processes

Practical knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English and French
