About the employer

Our client is a growing technology company specializing in the development of artificial intelligence solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Its platform enables real-time validation of documents and processes directly on production lines, meeting the most stringent regulatory standards (GMP, CSA). The company operates in a highly regulated environment, serving pharmaceutical clients, CDMOs, and CROs. Currently in a phase of fundraising and strategic transition, it is shifting from a custom development model to a scalable productization approach. The current technical team of 15 people is projected to grow to 30–60 people over the next three years.

Your responsibilities in a few words!

Définir et piloter la vision technologique de la plateforme d’intelligence artificielle en conformité avec les exigences réglementaires pharmaceutiques – Diriger l’équipe technique de 15 personnes actuellement, avec projection de croissance vers 30-60 personnes sur trois ans – Établir et implémenter des processus robustes de gestion d’équipe, de planification stratégique et de développement logiciel structuré – Gérer un budget technologique annuel de 1,5M$ à 1,8M$, principalement constitué de la masse salariale – Assurer l’équilibre stratégique entre développement custom client et productisation du code pour créer une plateforme réutilisable et scalable – Traduire les besoins métiers complexes des clients pharmaceutiques en solutions techniques validables selon les standards réglementaires
Garantir la conformité digitale incluant encryption, backup off-site, disaster recovery et business continuity – Collaborer étroitement avec la direction, l’équipe produit et les clients pour aligner la stratégie technologique avec les objectifs d’affaires – Accompagner la transition organisationnelle et collaborer avec l’architecte principal pour assurer la continuité technique – Naviguer efficacement entre rigueur réglementaire et vélocité de développement propre aux startups technologiques

Your assets for this position!

Experience in technical leadership (VP of Engineering, Lead Tech, Director) at a tech startup
Knowledge of the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sector
Experience with applied artificial intelligence solutions
Demonstrated ability to establish processes, structure teams, and manage rapid growth
Understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements
Experience in productizing technology solutions and building scalable platforms
Managing technical teams of 15 or more people
Proficiency in client-facing communicationwith demanding corporate clients
Experience in fundraising or financing phases
Fluency in French and English
