Your responsibilities in a few words!
Supervise and actively participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes – Review accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules – Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards – Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic financial forecasts – Support external audits and prepare necessary supporting documentation – Perform tax reconciliations, particularly for Canada – Maintain and reinforce internal controls and accounting policies – Perform various ad hoc tasks and reports.
Your assets for this position!
3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
Solid experience with the full monthly closing cycle and preparation of financial reports
Proficiency with ERP systems, Netsuite (asset)
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities independently
Excellent knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, research, data analysis)
Proactive attitude to optimize processes and add efficiency within the team
CPA certification (in progress or completed) is an asset
Experience in a multi-entity environment, particularly in Canada and the USA
